1. How can I obtain a user account for Beacon?

User subscription accounts are created, by the user, through Beacon. Users interested in Landshark need to contact the the Recorder’s Office.

3. How accurate are the property lines in Beacon?

It can vary from inches to many feet. There can be a variety of factors to cause inaccuracies. The parcel map is based on the legal descriptions of record on our tax rolls. It is neither a legally recorded map nor a survey and is intended to be used for reference purposes only. 

For property line issues, we often recommend landowners work with one or more of the following: 

• Registered land surveyor
• Title company
• Real estate attorney

4. What is GIS?
