The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 10-3-2021 at approximately 4:48 pm, their office received a report of an ATV accident with injuries at the intersection of 300th Avenue and 143rd Street in Pierz Township, east of Pierz, MN.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Christopher Wenderski of Burtrum, MN was driving a side-by-side ATV with passenger, 36-year-old Lacosta Miller of Albany, MN. The ATV was traveling westbound on the Soo Line Trail and when it entered the intersection Wenderski lost control. The ATV rolled onto its side and pinned the passenger’s hand underneath. Lacosta was airlifted by Life Link III and transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN, where she is listed in stable condition. Wenderski was not injured.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Pierz First Response Team, Pierz Fire Department, Mayo Clinic Ambulance and Life Link III.
