Environmental Health

Environmental Health is a branch of Public Health concerned with the aspects of the natural and built environments that may affect human health. In the interest of one’s health, comfort and social well-being, it is the County’s goal to help control those factors in the physical environment which exercise or may exercise a harmful effect on one’s physical development, health and survival.

Morrison County is delegated by the Minnesota Department Health to administer the Environmental Health program. The program licenses and inspects:

  • Food, beverage and lodging establishments
  • Mobile home parks
  • Pools
  • Recreational camps
  • Vacation home rentals
  • Youth camps

Inspections are made for compliance with state and local requirements.
